Christian, Book, Giveaway, None Like Him, Wilkin, religion

Book: None Like Him: 10 Ways God is Different from us (and why that’s a good thing)
Author: Jill Wilkin
Paperback: 163 pages

In her book "None Like Him" Jill Wilkin tells us about 10 ways that God is different from us:

God is INFINITE ~ He is the God of no limits
God is INCOMPREHENSIBLE ~ He is the God of infinite mercy
God is SELF-EXISTENT ~ He is the God of infinite creativity
God is SELF-SUFFICIENT ~ He is the God of infinite provision
God is ETERNAL ~ He is the God of infinite days
God is IMMUTABLE ~ He is the God of infinite sameness
God is OMNIPRESENT ~ He is the God of infinite place
God is OMNISCIENT ~ He is the God of infinite knowledge
God is OMNIPOTENT ~ He is the God of infinite power
God is SOVEREIGN ~ He is the God of infinite rule

In personal stories she explains WHY there is none like God, and WHY there is NOW WAY that any of us could be like him.
There are several thought-provoking questions and comments to help you discern whether you are attempting to take over a characteristic that belongs only to God.

"God is self-existent, self-sufficient, eternal, immutable, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, sovereign, infinite, and incomprehensible.
We're not.
And that's a good thing.
Our limitations are by design. We were never meant to be God. But at the root of every sin is our rebellious desire to possess attributes that belong to God alone.
Calling us to embrace our limits as a means of glorifying God's limitless power, Jen Wilkin invites us to celebrate the freedom that comes when we rest in letting God be God."
About the AuthorJen Wilkin is a speaker, writer, and teacher of women’s Bible studies. During her thirteen years of teaching, she has organized and led studies for women in home, church, and parachurch contexts. Jen and her family are members of the Village Church in Flower Mound, Texas. She is the author of Women of the Word.
