Deep Ellum // Murals, Art & Entertainment

Most of you guys know I work for a gym full time. 2 weeks ago I was sent to Dallas to capture the "Les Mills Super Q" event, together with some of our instructors. The event was Saturday and the crew stayed with me until Sunday. I've had a social media conference lined up downtown Dallas Tuesday, so I just stayed there and took one day PTO plus the Wingate by Wyndham in Arlington gave me shelter in form of a BEAUTIFUL room Sunday night.

Ever since I moved to this small town, I yearn creativity, variety and big city life. I am definitely not made for living in a small town. So Monday I slept in, and headed to "Deep Ellum" right after breakfast. It was the perfect day to stroll around. It was sunny, warm, and the colors of the murals were poppin! If you've never heard of "Deep Ellum" and the history of this neighborhood, I'd really suggest you check out this website HERE.

Deep Ellum is a neighborhood composed largely of arts and entertainment venues and is located near downtown in East Dallas, TX. I've been there before, but never captured any of the murals. This time I was prepared. My iPhone was charged, and here are a few impressions. Enjoy and pin away, please!

I'd say "wall hunting" is one of my favorite hobbies. Everywhere I go, I have to capture murals.
Do you have any go-to-spots with awesome art?

  1. I love murals and I try to go to different places, in the hopes of being surprised by unexpected art. I've seen art near overpasses and on abandoned buildings. Beauty in the midst of ugliness.
