As you could probably tell by my last post, I have issues with some stuff that keeps popping up in the fashion world.
Everybody can go on and eat Macarons till their bellies and hips explode, I don´t mind.
BUT: Dogs are not and should never be accessories!
My german readers might have heard it on the news - about two weeks ago, the police stopped a van from Slovakia close to my hometown Nuremberg. Inside this truck? 92 puppies. French Bulldogs, Golden Retrievers, Chihuahuas, Toy Poodles, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels... In the smallest boxes you can ever imagine. No food, no water. All of them dog breeds that keep popping up on ads! Fashionable dogs. The ones you show around to get all eyes on you. All of them way too young to be taken away from their mom. Most of them sick.

I´m mad. I am seriously mad! Following the posts from the animal shelter in Nuremberg on Facebook, I´m keeping track of how the puppies are doing. Ups and downs, some already died.
And why is that? Because some wannabe fashion icons are trying to tell the world, that the best accessories for this and that season is a French Bulldog. "Yay, I need a Frenchie! They go great with my new shirt!" (!! sarcasm right here !!)
WHAT THE F**K?! |
It sucks! It stinks! It´s making me mad and sad! I´m not gonna support any of that shit on my blog.
If you want a dog, go either to an animal shelter or a certified dog breeder. Make "giving poor dogs a good life" the new fashion. And not buying what the fashion industry tells you cheap out of the box at the border to Poland.
I just hope people won´t start buying owls now to put them in a cage, next to their other owl accessories...
That is just awful. Its why, out here in the states, we lose respect for people who jump on the tiny dog bandwagon for just the (obvious) sake of a tiny dog. But now they're actually picking a specific breed?!?
