Vacation Recap // Childhood in 2 boxes

I finally make it to tell you guys a little about my time back "home-home"! I left Saturday morning and took the train to Heilbronn (HeilBronx...), where my little sister lives. She picked me up at the train station and we went straight to Morbach.

As soon as we arrived, we started going through every single room in my dad´s house and packed up stuff for the flea market the next day. We found quiet a lot!

Our good old neighbor, Padre Bernardo, took us girls to dinner at a chinese restaurant that night, PLUS for a dessert to the italian ice bar. Yummy!! After a little break at the house we went to the bowling alley with my sister´s boyfriend and 2 of their friends. As you can probably see in the pictures from the previous "Wordless Wednesday", we had a blast!

We came home around midnight, set the alarm for 5:30 AM the next morning and went to sleep....

Yep, short night! So in the early morning, we packed my sisters car with all the flea market stuff and headed to Trier. After a little adventure including an almost empty tank plus tons of closed gas stations and a self service pump eating ATM cards.... (GEEZ!!) we made it to the flea market, met my brother`s girlfriend and built up our stand. As soon as we parked the car, people started going through our boxes and bags! Crazy! So the first item was sold after about 5 minutes ;oD! The first few hours we were freezing our butts off.... And then the sun came out and at the end of the day I had the shape of my stunners burned into my face:

Yep, it hurt! After 10 hours on he flea market we made about 100 Euro and the car was almost empty on our way back. Pretty succesful! We were soooooo tired when we got home, I just made it to watch the first half of the Chargers game and went to bed early...

The next day I went through the last 2 remaining boxes with my personal stuff. When I moved out, I REALLY moved out and didn´t leave much behind. After throwing some stuff away and adding some Tupperware plus a keyboard and speakers for my laptop and a pretty awesome old lamp from my grandpa (THIS amazing piece will get its own post!),
I wrapped up the boxes and mailed them off to my office. Weird feeling... But since I was carpooling on my way back to Bavaria, this was a pretty smart move!

Tuesday night I went to Trier, celebrated my dad´s birthday with most of the family, went to a bar later that night and met some friends. I had a wonderful time!

I will definitely go back to Morbach again before the house gets completely cleared out by that company. I was born in that house and spent 16 years living there. So tough times and especially emotional times ahead!
