It was an easy answer for me. There is one word that stands for what is most important in my life: 'ohana.
"Ohana is an idea in Hawaiian culture. The word ʻohana means family in the Hawaiian language, but in a much wider sense, to include not only one's closer relatives, but also one's cousins, in-laws, friends, race, and other neighbors.
Hawaiian families understand how aloha is the essential element in every ‘ohana as loving and caring for each other is the glue that holds families together and becomes the social fabric for the islands."
So about a month ago I made an appointment, packed up my bestie, and went to my go-to tattoo place in the ArkLa area: University Ink in Ruston, LA. Emily (check out her Instagram) did my last tattoo already, and she is awesome. So here's the result:
I love it. It's perfect! I made the whole design, and I've had added an anchor to it as well. It's for my grandpa ♥.
