Here it is // Inked.

If you were already a follower of my blog during last year's "NaBloPoMo", you might have seen my post about "My Word for 2017". The prompt from BlogHer that day was: Have you chosen a word of the year for yourself for 2017? What is it? If not, what words would you consider?

It was an easy answer for me. There is one word that stands for what is most important in my life: 'ohana.
"Ohana is an idea in Hawaiian culture. The word ʻohana means family in the Hawaiian language, but in a much wider sense, to include not only one's closer relatives, but also one's cousins, in-laws, friends, race, and other neighbors.
Hawaiian families understand how aloha is the essential element in every ‘ohana as loving and caring for each other is the glue that holds families together and becomes the social fabric for the islands."

So about a month ago I made an appointment, packed up my bestie, and went to my go-to tattoo place in the ArkLa area: University Ink in Ruston, LA. Emily (check out her Instagram) did my last tattoo already, and she is awesome. So here's the result:

Ohana Tattoo, Anchor Tattoo

I love it. It's perfect! I made the whole design, and I've had added an anchor to it as well. It's for my grandpa .

So this is my 3rd tattoo, and yes, it is addicting. Do you have any tattoos?
Link them up in the comments if you have them shared somewhere.
And let us all know the meaning behind it!
