Happy Weekend! // Thank God It´s Friday

What a week!

Got back from Cali Sunday night around 8:30pm after traveling for about 15.5 hours. 9 hours time difference made it HARD to go to sleep... Made it even worse to get up at 7:30am on monday to go back to work (!!!).

Working and being jetlagged is no good combo. Good thing about my inner clock being messed up was: (so far) I kicked out 8 (EIGHT!!) HUGE trash-bags full of clothes and stuff i don`t want/need anymore. Work still in progress.

Thank God the weekend is finally here and I can de-stress and unwind. A few things I'm looking forward to...

First on the list... Sleeping in. Not that I've been able to since the teen years but my eye mask will be in place and the alarm clock will not be set.

Hanging out with my sis and nephew ( I didn´t see them for 3 weeks since I was on vacation for 2 and then they left for 1 week)

Cooking. I missed that.

Finally finish reading "Eat. Pray. Love."

Go for a run AND a few walks outside. Nothing restarts the engines better in my book.

Watching a few shows of "Brothers & Sisters" season 4 (bought the DVD Box in the states woooohoooo!)

Play WII and Dreamcast (just found out I still have my brothers's so i will hook it up in the bedroom :oD)

And for sure: Sunday Night Football! When the Chargers (hopefully!) kick the Patriots' ass(es)!!!!

Right now, I´m doin this:

Watch out for new posts this weekend - I wanna take pics of my new stuff ;o)

Have a great weekend!

1977 Victoria's Secret Catalog

Dressfashion Prom Dresses Manchester

I must admit, I was a little surprised to learn Victoria's Secret was around in 1977. Evidently, they started that year in a San Francisco shopping center. They also put out a mail order catalog in '77 which has been lovingly scanned for your viewing pleasure at Yeeeeee.

You may recognize the model in the picture above. That's Melody Anderson from Flash Gordon. I don't know about you, but I find that rather interesting.

L.A. Fashion Week // KeoKaj S/S 2011

KeoKjay was the second collection to show at L.A. Fashion Weekend’s Green Initiative Humanitarian Fashion Show at Sunset Gower Studios.

KeoKjay means “bright green” or “fresh” in Khmer, the Cambodian language. KeoKjay’s main designer, Rachel Faller, is a beautiful woman who uses her love for design and environmental work to make a real difference in the world.

This brand is a social enterprise that provides jobs for HIV-positive women in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, through the production of handcrafted fashions that Faller designs.

Finding employment is nearly impossible for the majority of women in Cambodia, and KeoKjay provides them with work.

Because of KeoKjay, fair opportunities and wages are met, the quality of life is increased, health is gained back, and the cycle of poverty starts to unwind.

Not only does KeoKjay work to help the starving and hardworking women of Cambodia, it also sets out to create distinctly beautiful clothes with a boldly ethereal air. All clothes are handmade using natural or recycled materials. Faller wanted her Spring/Summer 2011 collection to be elegant and comfortable, while still being edgy and bold with striking details, colors, and patterns.

Shapes were simple, free-flowing, spacious, and lightweight, but were also intricately designed and put together with woven details of contrasting colors and bright shots of electric red. KeoKjay is perfect for the girl who likes to spend her days outside surrounded by nature and people.

Her body needs to move, and she needs to feel comfortable, but her imagination is always running wild as she hungers for travel and adventure. KeoKjay is practical and modern, but also fashion-forward and adventurous in its exploration of other cultures, beginning with the colorful women of Cambodia.
