Weekend Recap Feature: Vidya from Interior Design Principles

Happy Saturday! Another week went by, and here I am, 2 am on a Saturday, sipping coffee, watching an old Miss Marple movie, and enjoying some Anni-Time, since M works tonight. Is it bad that I enjoy it so much? I hope not.

Weekend Recap

Thank you all for linking up on Monday's 2nd edition of the "Weekend Recap"! I really enjoyed every single post! It was again super tough to pick only one Blog(ger) to feature it on here, but I ended up picking:

Vidya's blog "Interior Design Principles"!

Vidya!

4 Day Mini Vacation & A New LinkUp!

Hello and happy Monday!

How was your weekend? I hope super relaxing and fun?

Since M had a 3 day training for his new job, I decided to join him going to Little Rock. I've had a wonderful time strolling around. Did you see the pics I posted on Instagram?  If you always wanted to see what the Capitol in Little Rock looks like, or what fun public transportation they have: Consider following me on Instagram. Click HERE to do it. NOW!

After visiting the Clinton Library (you can find a little review HERE), this time I finally made it to the Museum Store as well. It's just down the street from the library, and if you are super lazy or can't walk 0.5 miles, they even offer you a little shuttle thing you can hop on for free.

I love the Museum Store! You can easily spent an hour in there. It's packed with awesome artsy stuff. But since M and I really like Bill Clinton, I got myself a T-Shirt, and a little magnet for M. Best part: I was allowed to pick a FREE campaign button, because I've bought something! Free stuff is awesome.

Are you enjoying your weekend?

Happy Saturday!

I hope you guys are enjoying your weekends?

I am sitting at our new dining room table typing this. You can't even imagine how happy I am to finally have a place to sit down and do stuff. I found it at a yard sale group on Facebook for a greal deal! And they were so nice and even delivered it to our house this morning, since we don't have a truck.

One of the chairs

This is a picture of the dining room set (bad one - off Facebook)
The couch is fine, but after a while it is just messing up my back. Our household goods are scheduled to arrive in New York on 9th of April. Hopefully the whole customs process will go smooth. FYI: The car still didn't make it to us yet.... I am really mad.

Since I don't work, I have pretty "adventurous" days so far. I walk around El Dorado a lot - which is a real adventure already, because sidewalks either don't exist, or are death traps...
The city is lovely though! I already have a favorite coffee spot: PJ's!

Oh and I sure love the fact, that the Stadium is so close to our house! I go there a lot to run,/work out to loose some of my 40 extra pounds I feel I gained since quitting smoking 10 months ago. Also I have to train for my 5k run in Little Rock on Memorial Day weekend!!

It feels as if I'm in the worst shape ever... But I am fighting! And as soon as our stuff gets here, I will have all my Jillian Michaels DVDs, dum bells, and all the other workout stuff. Jillian makes it so much easier for me to get in shape...

I hope you are doing great!

Have a lovely weekend!

One week down // Weekend plans

Howdy ladies!

TGIF! What a week! Working with people in Korea, who celebrate "Chinese New Year" this weekend and taking off to visit family and friends turned out making this whole week a lot busier for me than usual. A lot had to be done before their 4-day-weekend. I wish I had one, too, though!

But nonetheless I am really looking forward to my weekend! While I sit at work, my buddy Mr. Slow Cooker prepares this for me:

Source: sweettreatsmore.com via Anni on Pinterest

So my weekend will start off with a nice dinner! I might call my sis as well, maybe she wants to join me? Eating alone is not really fun... But this "Quinoa Chicken Chili" looks delicious! Can´t wait to try it!

I think I will start watching "Army Wives" again and start with Season 1 tonight. To be honest, I didn`t really like this show first. But after a while I got hooked up and as I confessed on my Facebook the other day: I cried watching the season finale of Official Army Wives.Do you watch the show? Who´s your fave character? I can´t really decide, but if I had to pick, I'd have to say Roxy. She was so naive in the beginning and now she has become such a sting person. I hope she will be back. It won't be the same without her...

Saturday or Sunday I will go to the movies with 2 friends from church. I haven´t been in a movie theatre for AGES! I hope I won´t fall asleep. I don´t even know which movie we are going to watch?! I just told them I`m in, and all  I need to know is time and place, and I´ll be there.

M told me to stay busy while he`s in the USA. I´m doing my best to do it, but still enjoying quiet time at home, with a book, coffee, Coco...

But I'm back on my church schedule as well and I'm happy to go to the service again every Sunday and bible class on Thursdays.

On 02/20 me and two of my sisters will go to a concert in Nuremberg. Moses Pelham, my fave german "rapper" and producer! I'm looking forward to it! It just sucks it's on a Monday and I won't be off Tuesday... Going out partying while having to work the next day is nothing for women my age anymore ;oD!

What have you guys planned for the weekend? Anything exciting?

xoxo

#NaBloPoMo // Random Thoughts

// It´s around 9:30PM in good old Germany. I´m sitting in front of my laptop, sipping coffee (yep, M bought decaf accidently), having my 2nd chocolate bar and I feel...blah. If I had a tub, I would take a long hot bath.

// My life is going through some major changes right now. Again. Luckily this one doesn´t include moving across the country. Right now I don´t feel like talking about it. Yet! As soon as everything is confirmed and safe, you guys can be sure I will blog about it! Don´t worry, I´m fine! Just a lot going on right now and sometimes I´m pretty exhausted.

// M still didn´t find a job. That´s a bummer. He´s getting more and more frustrated. I´m just so ready for God to take care of everything. I know he has a plan for us. M and I did everything that is in our power.

// I don´t like "50 Shades Of Grey" so far. Nope, not at all. Made it to page 300. It´s a pain in the butt to pick up that book every day and read a bit. Ladies, does it ever get better??
What makes it worse: Miss Anni SURE bought all 3 books in a box already. Ugh. If they are all like the first one... It might take 30 more years for me to finish them all. I have some pretty nice books on my to-read-list aka my nightstand. Are you guys on goodreads.com? If so, hit me up on there!

// The weekend is around the corner, ladies! And since I can´t wait I will jump into my bed now, grab a hot water bottle on my way there, and maybe secretly start reading another book and "Next!" Mr Grey for a couple of days ;o)

Have a wonderful day/night!
xoxo

Come On Baby, Let's Do The Twist

Happy Friday! And Thank God it´s Friday!

I just woke up from a little nap. I was cleaning the whole apartment after work and was so tired afterwards! So I literally passed out on the couch for about one hour. Now I feel kinda hangoverish.
How I hate that feeling!

Great news: M´s phone is back! My sister´s friend picked it up and mailed it to us. I sent her a little "thank-you-package" today :) I hope she likes gummy bears!

As I told you guys, my friend Aliya did M´s hair last weekend. I was watching - and tried to do it on my own a couple of days ago. It turned out pretty nice! I was surprised, since it was the first time I was twisting someone´s hair! Well, I will keep practicing! Guess this weekend I will have to do it again.

This weekend is actually the first one in a loooong time we don´t really have any plans. And that´s awesome! Tomorrow morning one of my couches gets picked up - I sold it on the internet and I´m so happy when it´s gone! Somehow I tend to get rid of stuff lately. Spring cleaning? Ummmmm fall cleaning! Yep, that´s it! Maybe I´ll put some more stuff on eBay tomorrow as well...

Oh and we will go to the big Volksfest in Nuremberg tomorrow! I am looking forward to that :) please keep your fingers crossed so the weather will be nice! I will definitely take some pics.

Alrighty guys, I will cuddle up on the couch now and watch "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?"

Have a wonderful Friday night!

Smooches,
Anni

Happy Weekend! // Thank God It´s Friday

What a week!

Got back from Cali Sunday night around 8:30pm after traveling for about 15.5 hours. 9 hours time difference made it HARD to go to sleep... Made it even worse to get up at 7:30am on monday to go back to work (!!!).

Working and being jetlagged is no good combo. Good thing about my inner clock being messed up was: (so far) I kicked out 8 (EIGHT!!) HUGE trash-bags full of clothes and stuff i don`t want/need anymore. Work still in progress.

Thank God the weekend is finally here and I can de-stress and unwind. A few things I'm looking forward to...

First on the list... Sleeping in. Not that I've been able to since the teen years but my eye mask will be in place and the alarm clock will not be set.

Hanging out with my sis and nephew ( I didn´t see them for 3 weeks since I was on vacation for 2 and then they left for 1 week)

Cooking. I missed that.

Finally finish reading "Eat. Pray. Love."

Go for a run AND a few walks outside. Nothing restarts the engines better in my book.

Watching a few shows of "Brothers & Sisters" season 4 (bought the DVD Box in the states woooohoooo!)

Play WII and Dreamcast (just found out I still have my brothers's so i will hook it up in the bedroom :oD)

And for sure: Sunday Night Football! When the Chargers (hopefully!) kick the Patriots' ass(es)!!!!

Right now, I´m doin this:

Watch out for new posts this weekend - I wanna take pics of my new stuff ;o)

Have a great weekend!

Weekend! Let´s Go Outside!!

Hey there!
The weekend is almost here ;o) ...ALMOST. Actually I´m writing this post at the office. I started work pretty early this morning so I´m already almost done with all my projects for today! Woooohooo!
This weekend is gonna be WONDERFUL! I´ll go up to Morbach, that´s the tiny little town in Germany where I was born. My dad and his girlfriend will be there, my 3 siters, my brother, my nephew... It´s gonna be so cool :D
We are a pretty crazy family.
Since my sister got her "Reebok EasyTone Go Outside" shoes yesterday as well, and Morbach is a great place to go hiking, I think we will go straight to the forest today or maybe tomorrow! Hike! Yike! I like! Hehehehe
TFS is hiking and outdoor inspired today too, so I´ll use their inspiration board and stuff on here now.
MAYBE I´ll post some pics from my trip ;) don´t know yet!
Have a GREAT weekend!

Dear M, I´m proud of how you are managing work, school and ME at one time! Looking forward to our little dinner date tonight! And finally "our" Olympics start! What a wonderful day it´s going to be!

Dear 6 hours, yep, you! Your are left til the weekend starts for me. Would you please hurry up and fly by? I´m already wearing my bikini (yes, at the office) (ummmm, plus some summer clothes on top of it of yourse) and I just want to RUN out of the office, hop on the bike, ride to the pool and JUUUUUUUMP in :oD! *Splash*

Dear weekend, I missed you. Thank you for being back.

Dear Vampire Academy book #1, please let me finish you today so I can start with #2.

Dear followers, thank you for your lovely comments and all the support on here! I´m happy to be part of this great community! Happy friday!

Weekend // Recap

....went to the Bazaar!
...M bought me this beautiful rug! <3
...went to a mexican restaurant with my beloved ones. Seafood plate. Yummy!
...my brother came visiting me!
...started watching "Shopaholic". Stopped after 25mins though,
since I LOVED all the books and the movie was really bad.
...more junkfood.
