Where was Anni? // Weekend Recap

Hey there my lovely followers :o)!

Sorry for no posts this weekend! I was on the road and - well - lazy...

Friday night M and I had dinner and as far as I remember I went to bed early. Saturday around noon, my sis and I left for "home". We got there in the afternoon and after a short break I decided to go to the cemetery. I've planted a sunflower on my mom's grave. I hope it will grow a bit though ;o)

I left the cemetery to walk around downtown a bit. Then I saw the bike of our neighbor (a pastor, turns 81 next week, still riding his bike everywhere...) in front of the Italian ice cream bad. I went inside, saw him right away and he was so happy to see me! He didn't know I was in town so it was a surprise. We had coffee, well he had a huge fancy bowl of ice cream, and talked and talked and talked. We had a great time!

After that I walked back to the house, made popcorn and cut my watermelon into pieces and that was my "dinner". Crazy, I know :oD but since none of my family lives in the house anymore, the fridge was empty...

I finally made it and finished my game! I love these puzzle mystery games, where you have to find all kinds of items hidden in pictures! M bought me 4 a few months ago. Now I have 2 left.
After the long drive I was too tired to read, but the computer game was fun.

It was a little scary at the end though - and me being alone in this huge house plus stormy weather outside - I felt weird! So I started listening to an audio book. Sherlock Holmes. Big mistake. It was scary, too.

I think around midnight I finally fell asleep AND woke up around 9:30am! Man, I was so happy, cause usually I wake up around 7. Yes, even on weekends. Guess it's cause I'm old...

After I got up I was busy though. First I took a little ladder and harvested small yellow plums from the tree in my dad´s backyard. I have about 4 kilograms now, so I will definitely make some jelly (plus I keep snacking them all days so far ;oD)!

And I went through every room in the house, looking for something I can take with me before the clearing out. I took a few smaller items I will definitely show you in my next post.

I didn't sleep at home last night, I actually went straight to M's "man cave" when I got back to Bavaria and had dinner there plus we watched the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in London. George Michael killed me though - I fell asleep while he was singing, so I missed the "Spice Girls".... Darn!
Sad that it's over now!

So a couple of reasons I didn't take pictures of all the little treasures I brought so far. And this post I'm actually writing on my iPhone during my lunch break right now ;o)

We will go back to the house with a bigger car soon though, cause I bet there is so much more I want to keep... I was born in this house and was living there 16 years... Memories...

Ok guys, lunch break is over now! I'll see you all later :o)

How was your weekend? What did you do?

Smooches!
Anni
