Volksfest! // Weekend Recap

Hey there and "Happy Labor Day"!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend? Mine was RELAXING! This was actually the first weekend at home after being on the road for the past 3 weekends... So I enjoyed what I pay rent for, spent time on the couch, taking a nap, reading. I missed that!

Saturday morning the couch I sold on the internet got picked up - the lady gave me 60 Euro, 10 more than I´ve asked for! But she was so thankful that M and I carried it downstairs from the 5th floor for her. Plus I washed all the covers and gave her an extra blanket for free. I´m happy the couch is outta here, but at the same time a little bit sad - it was the first couch I bought for my apartment. It was so comfy! Coco cat loved it so you can tell she started and keeps complaining since the minute it was out of the house ;o)!

M and I decided to grab the couch money, and go spend it at the Volksfest here in Nuremberg. We had a great time! We shared one of these huge german beers, I ate "Crêpe" with bananas and nutella, we even went on one of the rides! But: it sucked :oD!!! Seriously! It looked pretty amazing when we walked past. Like a huge submarine, and we heard all the sound and it was going up and down. But the second we sat down in there and the "awesome 3D animation" started (= remove awesome and 3D and you will actually have the truth) we just couldn´t stop laughing! It was soooooo baaaaaad! I can´t believe we spent 6 Euro for that crappy thing!

But we had a wonderful time walking around anyway. It wasn´t too crowded, after the sun set all the colorful lights came up. It was really nice!

What else was amazing: How fast the money disappeared!! Geeeeeez! And we don´t even have kids! I wonder how much the average family spends on a fun fair like that... I know, sometimes you just need some quality time, but spending money kinda hurts as well.

What did you guys do on the weekend?

Smooches!
Anni

  2. Volksfeste are always so funny! I love it! But you are right, they are so expensive. Can't believe it sometimes.

  5. Sometimes I like cheesy amusement parks like these....not that I will take a ride, but just to walk and take in the fun atmosphere! Sounds like a memorable weekend for you guys. BTW, is there going to be a couch replacement?
