Christmas Shopping = Check! // What actually happened

Beware! This Wednesday is no Wordless Wednesday ;o)

Oh what a relief: I officially finished all my Christmas shopping for 2012! Ok, I still need something for M, but I have trazillions of ideas so this is going to be easy.

Finally I can tell you guys what was wrong a couple of weeks ago. My loyal readers know my better half M lost his job a while ago. He is still looking for a new job, so please keep him in your prayers!

So about 6 weeks ago, I walked into my office at 8AM... walked out of the office at 8:09AM... in my hand a letter...made redundant. Yep. That was a shocker. But I immediately switched into auto-pilot and started contacting all the people I know, who might know people, who might have a job opening. Plus I sent an e-mail to my church's intercessory prayer goup.

I was really depressed though cause neither I nor my colleagues saw all this coming.

I went to the job center right away with my sis to get my data in there on time. You only have 3 days to go there after you know you lost or will lose your job. Otherwise you won´t get job seekers allowance. But the second I walked in there, I knew I won´t be there that often. I WANT to work so no job seekers allowance for me! I still got paid til the end of November. I had 6 weeks to find a job.

In the afternoon my ex-brother-in-law (crazy word) sent me a text. The guy he shares the office with was looking for someone to help with his start-up company. If I could come over Wednesday at 4pm. SURE!!!!!! Man, I was so nervous!

Wednesday came, the interview went really good, I started working there the next day and since 1st of December I have my contract :o)!! I am soooooo happy and I love my new job! I will go to Korea next year to meet all the other employees and partners at the headquarter over there!

Plus: It´s just a 4 minute walk from home to the office! Isn´t that great?

In the end I was "unemployed" for less than 1 day. God is great and prayers DO work!
