1. The "Einwegpfand"
2. The "GEZ"
3. The Very Grumpy People
Anything my expat friends would like to add to this list?

ReplyDeleteI actually like Einwegpfand... Since in my mind I always think that the price of the drink is THAT much, I feel like I actually get money when I recycle. Maybe I'm lucky because I never have to wait line to recycle my bottles and it's always somehow 'pleasant' experience. But I still hate GEZ. And GEMA.

my hubby and inlaws are German, I agree 5000% on the above ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL I love this. My mom would agree. When we left Germany, there was a lot of things she said she would not miss. However, I really miss the ice cream man and the candy man who would drive around in their trucks. German Eis is sooo yummy!!!! That I do miss
