No, Ma'am. Me No Mesh Person.

I'm making baby steps, trying to turn this apartment into a home. Since our household goods are FINALLY in NY, I hope we will get them in about 2-3 weeks. Latest. Prayers are more than welcome at this point.
By the way: still no Black Baby (= our car) in front of the house, yet. Waiting sucks.

I love decorating, so one of my first projects was trying to make the front door and entry area outside a little more welcoming. What helps doing that? A door wreath!

Geez. I know I am very European when it comes to certain things. But what the heck is up with all this tons of fluffy puffy mesh wreaths???? This is a home, and not a ballet school! Did you every try googling "door wreath"? Or tried searching it on Etsy?

Mesh. Mesh. Mesh.

If it's not mesh, we are easily talking big bucks here: I don't feel like spending more than $150 dollars on a door wreath. Sorry.

But the biggest issue in the buying process is still: I am no mesh person. At all.

So the project "door wreath" suddenly got a little more complicated than I thought it would be.

After browsing, and googling, and checking out local stores... I finally gave up.  Means: I gave Amazon a shot.

Et voila! Found one:

I saw it and fell in love with it right away. It's simple, CLEAN, and multi-functional, since it came with hangers for all different holidays and seasons throughout the year. And of course it somehow suits our cool little beat-up red front door!

What's hanging on your front door? And I'm not gonna blame you for any mesh ;o)!
When in Rome, do as Romans do just didn't work for me this time.

Happy Monday!

  1. Currently, there is nothing on our door :/ I always say I am going to put a wreath up but then never get to it. I want to do something though....

  2. Hallo Anni!

Wow du wohnst inzwischen in den USA? Krass was alles so passiert. Ich hab aber auch lange nicht vorbeigeschaut, sorry. Wollte mich für den Liebster Award bedanken (ich werde ihn bald wietergeben) und dir eine schöne Woche wünschen! Grüße aus Düsseldorf! ;)

  3. We actually don't have anything on our front door. I have been wondering what is up with all the door wreaths trends lately. I like in OK, USA in a cute neighborhood where people have different ones for every month. Us however, not so much.

  4. We have nothing on our door, we are still unpacking our house. I hate moving, I know you hate it worst coming across that pond! lol
