My First Trip To The Local Farmer's Market

I just came back from my very first trip to the local farmer's market, and as you can see: it was a success! Since the market is pretty new, there isn't such a huge selection yet, but I did find everything I wanted, and didn't even pay $5! Farm fresh! Whoop whoop!

I'm hoping to find a wider selection soon. I missed fruit and eggs, for example. The ladies were really nice! If the weather is bad, they won't be there, so I like the fact they are up to date, and make announcements on their Facebook page.

One onion jumped straight into the crock pot, to accompany the Honey Sesame Chicken. They are having a little party in there right now. Everything else will be roasted tomorrow.

Life is good.

Happy Friday!

  1. That's awesome! I grow my own veggies and do Bountiful Baskets. So I'm usually overloaded as far as vegetables go. I plan to hit up my local farmers market to find good local meat. I really want to get away from the grocery store stuff and support someone local.

  2. Awesome- wish we had something similar nearby. Not only does that mean fresh cheap produce for me but more money directly in farmer's pockets!

  3. I love our farmer's market here. Since we are big organic eaters, it's nice to find them all over here. Unlike in Florida where I couldn't ever find organic at the farmer's market there

  4. We have so many Farmer's Markets here. They are all great. I love them.

    Hope you go back.
