What's in your Stocking? // Favorite Christmas Candy by State

If you can read this: Congrats - you survived Thanksgiving dinner! And since our stomachs are already stretched and ready for more food: Let's talk Christmas Candy today! (If you use links in this post, I may earn a commission. Full Disclosure

For me, nothing beats home made Christmas cookies. My sisters are all awesome bakers - I think I'm just not patient enough to bake more than two different kinds of "Plaetzchen" (that's how we call them in Germany). But they go all in. Huge variety, all neatly decorated, good old recipes and new ones... They just rock. I sure will miss their Plaetzchen this year... but then again my waistline will be happy.

Besides good ole cookies there sure is tons of Christmas candy out there. CandyStore.com already had this awesome interactive map for Halloween (check here), and now they did the research for Christmas and put together another map showing the top 3 favorite Christmas candies by state:

In Arkansas it's Starburst. I don't really understand. That's too fruity! Christmas for me means cookies, chocolate and candy canes. I dig the Californian Top 3 way more!

What made your state's top 3? Do you agree?

  1. Nice map :-) Interesting to know. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving. Our state Colorado shows hershey Kisses on top! I love them too.

    1. Can't beat chocolate!
Since I'm German I don't really celebrate Thanksgiving either. This year I went to Dallas to watch the football game live. My kinda holiday :)

  2. Skittles, candy cane, and Pez? Wha? No, completely disagree! I disagree with Arkansas, too (I lived there years ago). What ever happened to peppermint bark?
