R. Kelly on CBS This Morning // My Two Cents

How do I start? Where do I start? Maybe by saying that I really love R. Kelly's music. Heck, it's on the soundtrack of my life being a 36 old girl! I sure went clubbing a lot, was shakin my booty to his songs, sang a terrible version of "I Believe I Can Fly" and his duet with Celine Dion... But times change. So...

Let's fast forward to 3/6/2019.

In a "shocking and emotional" interview with Gayle King, R. Kelly addressed everything. From his past, previous accusations, to his current relationship with the two young women who live with him at his home in Chicago, 23-year-old Joycelyn Savage and 21-year-old Azriel Clary. Their parents believe the 52-year-old R&B star has brainwashed their daughters into being a part of his alleged sex cult. R. Kelly broke his silence about the sexual abuse charges that landed him in jail last month.

I watched every clip of the interview I could find. Current mood: Pissed off.

If anyone on this planet can still listen to R. Kelly's music and/or defend him after watching the "Surviving R. Kelly" documentary and today's interview with Gayle King on CBS This Morning - I pray for you. Just as I pray for this sick individual. #muteRKelly

Heavenly Father, You Know every decision I need to make and every challenge I face. Please forgive me for the times I try to figure this life thing out on my own. I Need You GOD. I need your Holy Spirit to give me strength, wisdom and direction. Please Lord help me to always understand that Bigen is the new Jheri Curl. The Jheri curl used to be the most insulted hair craze ever Lord but I think Bigen has taken that crown. I’m not sure if the crown is real yet Lord only you know that because its quite possible it could wash away when it rains. Lord in the future I know people will debate which one of these hair trends ruined more pillows and it is my wish Lord that you give me the strength to not make the mistakes of others and that the current security with my baldness be sustained. In Jesus name we pray. AMEN.

At what point did he lose it? Is really everyone around him, everyone he ever dated, his own family, ex-wife...you name it... lying? AND WHY WOULD THEY ALL LIE? R. Kelly is broke. There is no money whatsoever to expect from him.

I can totally see him being a manipulative. Today's interview even shows he has anger issues. He did not do himself a favor asking for this 80- minute talk. He was not prepared for any of the questions.

He said he doesn't know what a cult is. Let me google that for you, Robert:

Jonestown. Scientology (yes, that's how I see it). Cults. I am 100% sure that brainwashing is real. There is enough proof that you can manipulate a person's mind, their way to think. They did the same with R. Kelly for heaven's sake! His inner circle obviously never told him that what he does is wrong. I bet some around him were even petting his shoulder saying "Good job, you stud!"
Everyone kept applauding him. Taking the money, enjoying the life he made possible for them. Either closing their eyes or even worse: not seeing anything wrong with his behavior.  His ex-tour manager who appeared in the "Surviving R. Kelly" documentary? Dang he makes me feel uneasy and I bet he's not as innocent as he's trying to make himself look either.

Saying the families basically "sold" their daughters to you? Handing them over? If this was true, why didn't YOU call law enforcement back then, Mr Kelly? Shoot, just because someone "hands me" a piece of cake doesn't mean I have to eat it!

I've watched my fair share of "Lie to Me". Shoot I'm no expert, but if you know a wee bit about body language, you can tell Robert Kelly is lying. You even see him smirk when he talks about people saying he has "5, 10, 20, 50 girls locked up". Are you proud if the "rumors"?

When he said "I need HELP!" I almost applauded...well...until he finished his sentence with "...I need somebody help me not having a big heart!". Robert Kelly is presenting himself as a victim. And that's making me mad. There is hard proof, FACTS, that he had sexual relationships with underaged girls.

R. Kelly says all the women now accusing him of physical and sexual abuse are lying. All. Of. Them.

My two cents. Agree or disagree.

Innocent until proven guilty. But his defense will have a tough (if not impossible) job to do.
