Talking Yeezus, Talking Kanye.

FYI: If you hate Kanye West, you might want to stop reading here and now.

I am a HUGE fan. In my opinion, Kanye West is one of the biggest artists of our time. Music, fashion,.. you name it. You might say he's a crazy a** dude, but I say that's just him being a weird, and yes, crazy artist. When you are a creative person, you don't fit in. You always offend people. Unintentionally. Or on full purpose. No one might ever know the difference.

Art polarizes. Plus his trash talk is pretty good PR. Kanye tweets, and ends up on CNN. Even people who don't know Kanye, know Kanye. You know what I mean?

In my car,  disc number 3 in my 6 CD changer is a MP3 album. All Kanye. I need Kanye, I dig Kanye. Heck, I even almost got kicked out of Hobby Lobby just for wearing the "Yeezus" tour shirt.

I CELEBRATE his new album "The Life of Pablo" and all the shitstorms attached to it. There are probably more bangers on this album than anything Yeezy’s released since Graduation.

"Ye’s gotten it so right in the studio for so long he’s got nothing left to prove except his power to get haters’ and fence-sitters’ tongues and fingers wagging in dismay or outright disapproval over his dull-witted, desperate, trolling diarrhea-of-the-mouth misogyny." - SPIN.com

Small minded people will never understand art. That's a fact. What am I expecting, living in the bible belt. People scream "blasphemy" because they don't understand the whole "Yeezus" thing. But I rather wear a "Yeezus is a Gemini" shirt, than wearing camo all day, living in camo, and celebrating the Duck Commander as a new savior.

Riccardo Tisci and Kanye West in Vogue

“Tisci’s passion for music has taken him around the world. His strong connection to the worlds of rap and R&B led his friends Kanye West and Jay-Z to enlist his services as art director for their collaborative album, Watch The Throne.

“I was a little bit scared, ” admits Tisci, “Because I’m not an artist or graphic artist.” He finally agreed and was awed when a meeting sequed into a jam session that involved Rihanna, Swizz Beatz and Pharrell Williams, all freely exchanging ideas “like a family giving opinions to each other,” remembers Tisci, “sharing – which is something that fashion is missing,” he adds plaintively.

His artwork for the single “H.A.M.” and the album (which reached number one on iTunes in 24 countries) draw Tisci’s childhood passion for mythology and religious iconography and his current engagement with psychedelic prints and graphics”
