H&M Studio AW16 // Feminine Strength and Individuality

Emma Roberts, Ciara and Kate Mara were among the guests at H&M Studio AW16 show on March 2nd under the domed ceiling of the historic Bourse de Commerce in Paris, where the inspiration was strong women and the beauty of independent minds.

Models such as Amber Valletta, Jourdan Dunn, Freja Beha Erichsen, Ashley Graham, Soo Joo Park and Hari Nef appeared in looks that expressed a woman’s individuality, and the diversity of the female character. They walked a specially created runway that had the clarity and enchantment of a frozen lake, reflecting the influence of nature on the collection.

The focus was all on the clothes, which mixed powerful tailoring with Swedish heritage and handicraft. There was a fresh interest in a feminine silhouette created by the shoulders and waist, with added drama and posture from gaucho hats and cowboy boots.

“This collection is about the strength and beauty of women, and how we express that power through our style. I love the contrast of strong tailoring with handicraft touches of Swedish heritage and folklore,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s creative advisor.

Nicolas Godin of Air produced an original track “Mystery Lake” exclusively for the show, with a choir singing live at the venue to heighten the mood. 600 international editors and guests attended the show held during Paris Fashion Week, with a global audience watching live at studio.hm.com.

H&M Studio is the key seasonal collection from H&M, with its own dedicated design team. This limited-edition collection will be available in 200 stores, as well as online, from September 8.

Well HELLO Size 8! I've missed you!

Sorry - I just realized I didn't really update you guys about all my weight-loss journey in a long long time! So here we go:

It's still work in progress, but my workouts are going great, my running improves continuously, and I started lifting a few months ago as well.

I picked up boxing again, thinking about going back to kickboxing at one point. But this depends on how well my lower back will works with me - or against me. I work out boxing-wise with one of our trainers who is a MMA fighter (his first pro fight will be Sept 19th!), or do shadow boxing and some nigtmare-ish cardio routine alone. I never thought I was capable of punishing myself the way I do lately when it comes to rope skipping, sit-ups, and push-ups!

Running: My average time on the 2 mile run is currently 18 minutes. The heat was killing me all throughout summer. Today we are still in the mid 90F. Right now I'm hoping for some cooler weather to come to South Arkansas soon, so I can start working on my long distance runs.

I've kicked out 70% of my wardrobe during the past months, since most of it wouldn't really fit well anymore. So yesterday I went to H&M in Shreveport, looking for some daisy dukes... I found some I really liked, and gave a size 8 a try...

I'd say they fit! Guess who did the happy dance right there and then, in the H&M changing rooms? So yes, overall my journey is going very well!

Santa´s Baby

Guess who was a good girl??? ME THAT IS!

Tonight is "Nikolaus Abend" in germany, means: Santa Clause is coming to town and brings little gifts to all the children, who were nice during the past year,
Yea I know, it´s kind of confusing since Santa is coming on christmas!? Well not over here. In germany "Nikolaus" (Santa Clause) is coming on the night of December 5th. And on Christmas Night (December 24th) the CHRISTKIND is bringing us our christmas gifts.... I think it´s an angel-like girly thingy with blonde locks and stuff.... It should be little Jesus though. That´s what the name means. But.... I don´t know :D

See, even I am confused! I´m german but american by heart. I just celebrate everything that´s coming up during the next weeks and whoever wants to bring me gifts: go ahead!

OK, so tonight "Nikolaus" came. As every year for 29 years, I didn´t see him. Oh wait, that was a lie. I saw him 3 years in a row when he came to my childhood home when I was about 6-9 years old. BUT: the second time he came over all dressed up and stuff I figured out it was a local guy who ususally took care of the fire drenchers in all the homes during the year... I saw the rubber band holding his beard. Sad day.
So I´ve never seen the real Nikolaus.

Today after work I was invited to my sister´s place. We had dinner with my 3 year old nephew and were waiting for Nikolaus to arrive... Maaaaan, he took his time this year!! But while we were playing with Playmobil at my nephew´s room, the doorbell rang! Exciting!! The little boy was soooo scared and excited at the same time!
But when we arrived at the door, there were only the gifts and a few candles waiting for us. No Nikolaus.... Missed him again!!! My nephew looked kinda relieved though :oD guess he was really scared.

So....there were the gifts. And then I heard my sis say "Oh, this one is for Anni!" and I was like "What?!"
Ha! I got a wonderful gift PLUS tons of sweets!!!

I don´t know how Nikolaus knew I wanted this dress, since it was only me and my sis at H&M last saturday ;) - but this is what I got!! I love it and I think it looks extra good with my newlybrunette hair!

This is the pic from the H&M website - I will do my best to make a real outfit post soon though!

Besides the dress, I got this wonderful and supercute necklace!

I´m so happy and it was such a HUGE surprise :) (thanks, sis!!!! <3)

So now I´ll enjoy a bit more time at home, relaxing on the couch in my PJs and having a few pieces of this:

Good night everyone! And be nice :oD cause it pays off!

xoxo

A walk in the park

Happy sunday everyone!
The weather is crazy over here.... It´s way too warm for december and now raining for 3 (?) days straight.
I decided to take a break from being lazy though, got dressed and went for a walk in the park!
Boots // Deichmann, Leggins // Telly Weijl, Shorts // H&M, Baseball Shirt // H&M, Cardigan // Primark, Jacket // New Yorker, Gloves & Hat // H&M

And nope, these pics are not retouched at all... That´s as light as it got outside today :( really depressing.
Did you realize something about me that DRAMATICALLY changed? ;)

Have a cozy sunday everyone!
xoxo

P.S.: I´m gonna be a guest blogger for sophiasa´s fit friday soon :) so stay tuned!

Cozy Saturday

Howdy!

I know - it´s been a while since the last outfit post. Finally I feel more comfortable with my body again so i decided I might give it a try.

It´s REALLY cold outside today. So I didn´t do much, yet, besides cleaning my windows (yes, I did!) and going to the grocery store with my sis and nephew.

Maybe I´ll join them going outside later though. I need some more fresh air!

My Outfit
Boots // No Name
Leggings // H&M
Shirt // ONLY
Purse // Promod
Cardigan // Orsay

I usually NEVER EVER put a foot into that store (Orsay) cause most of the stuff looks cheap and is weird fabric that makes you stink sweaty just by looking at it. But one day I joined one of my friends going in there and found this Cardigen for about 10 Euro at the SALE section. I love it since it looks different. And it keeps me warm :)
I wear it at home a lot, too. Just to be cuddled up while doing chores or watching TV: It was worth the money.

I hope y'all enjoy your weekend!! Be safe!
xoxo

On my way to Berlin

This train ride is sooooooo boring... But I'm less than 1 hour I will be in Berlin. Finally!

I took a book I'm trying to finish for months now...

But it's so hard since I don't like it at all! Everybody is like "wow, long way down is a great book!" but I don't like any of the characters plus they are pretty annoying. Here goes my problem: I can't start reading a book and them just stop and never touch it again if I didn't finish it. Guess that's the Mr Monk inside of me.
So I'm taking this challenge, read page after page and just want it to be over so I can finally start a new one.
One I like.

My traveling outfit? Here we go:
- my fave leather boots // hallhuber
- gray leggings // Tally weijl
- black jersey skirt // H&M
- gray shirt // H&M
- striped cardigan // vero moda
- scarf // latest H&M fashion against aids collection

Shopping // Bag packing // BERLIN

Howdy!!

Just a quick post to show you what I´ve bought downtown today.... It´s getting colder and colder over here. Gray rocks! So here we go:

Tomorrow morning I´ll leave for Berlin. I´ll just stay 24 hrs but I hope I can take a few pics to show you guys. I visit my friend; she´s gonna have her house warming plus early bday party :) I don´t really like Berlin, but I´m looking forward to spend time with my friend! Oh AND: what a coincidence! My brother is gonna be there, too! He´s visiting his girlfriend who´s staying in Berlin for 3 months. So I´ll meet them, too. It´s kinda crazy - I live in southern germany, my brother in the wild west... and we all meet in Berlin :)
The only part about Berlin that I like? The bands & their music! Here goes a lil video (or2):
