Hello and HAPPY MONDAY! 
Are you ready for Christmas? I am. 
And we just got the most relieving message in a long time: Our HUGE box with Christmas presents for literally everyone in Germany, Family and extended Family, made it after being lost for 6 long weeks. Friday I even filed a claim, since the tracking stopped right here in El Dorado. Well, thanks to the smartpants who missed to scan it! Biiiiiastard! But now it arrived, and my sister will hopefully be able to pick it up at M's friend's house. Wowzers. I'm happy!!
Our weekend was full of football, relaxing, eating pizza, and oh I forgot, M got sworn in and is now officially a policeman! I'm super proud of him!
On the football note: Sorry for all you 49ers fans out there but DARN WHAT A GAME!!! Go Bolts! I was close to a heart attack watching the game, and ended up with a bloody hand and an accidentally knocked down Captain America picture. He is well though and my hand will heal. Just happy my team won. Whoop whoop.

A mini vacation, colorful elephants, booze, and tears

Hello and happy Monday! 
For me it didn't really start "happy" - I was actually crying at the office already. And nope, it wasn't because my San Diego Chargers lost last night to our worst enemy, the Raiders.
I took a week off last week and went to visit family from Thursday till Sunday. It was nice, but it's good to sleep in my own bed again. And I sure missed Coco cat. 
What made me REALLY mad though was, that my boss hit me up me EVERY SINGLE DAY while I was on vacation. This is an absolute no-go! If it would have been because of something important, I would have been 100% okay with it. But contacting me during my vacation time just to ask how many commercial invoices he needs to attach to a shipping to Switzerland is not cool. At all.  And this was just one of the freaking reasons he thought he could bother me in my well deserved time off. 
FYI: This was my first "vacation" time since March. I am tired. I needed rest. I needed to be away from office and all this stress. And yes, I needed to be away from my boss as well. Usually we get along really great, but he can be exhausting. Very exhausting.

Besides taking care of stuff for my job, I did some nice and relaxing stuff as well:

- I slept in almost every day! - I packed and sent over another package to M for the new apartment - I went to the local fest one evening and had a beer and "Pommes" (= fries)  - I went to the Eifel and Trier for a mini family vacation
- I saw the Elephant Parade!
