Valentine’s Day is about... Candy. Isn't it? // Where Did The SweetHearts Go?

It feels as if Valentine's Day candy hit the shelves the evening of Christmas Day. Maybe it did? I know, Valentine's Day is all about LOVE... But basically Valentine’s Day is about love and romance AND spending money to demonstrate them. Last year, the National Retail Federation predicted a slight drop off in in Valentine’s Day spending in all but one category. You guessed it: candy.

So just in case you were wondering what the favorite Valentine's Day candy in every state is, check out this interactive map:

What's in your Stocking? // Favorite Christmas Candy by State

If you can read this: Congrats - you survived Thanksgiving dinner! And since our stomachs are already stretched and ready for more food: Let's talk Christmas Candy today! (If you use links in this post, I may earn a commission. Full Disclosure

For me, nothing beats home made Christmas cookies. My sisters are all awesome bakers - I think I'm just not patient enough to bake more than two different kinds of "Plaetzchen" (that's how we call them in Germany). But they go all in. Huge variety, all neatly decorated, good old recipes and new ones... They just rock. I sure will miss their Plaetzchen this year... but then again my waistline will be happy.

Besides good ole cookies there sure is tons of Christmas candy out there. CandyStore.com already had this awesome interactive map for Halloween (check here), and now they did the research for Christmas and put together another map showing the top 3 favorite Christmas candies by state:

Don't be a Tootsie Roll // Best and Worst Halloween Candy

Designed by Freepik

Are you done shopping Halloween Candy for the Trick-or-Treaters? I hope not, because what I'm about to show you might be a life saver. (But don't hand out Life Savers, please...)

CandyStore.com put together this State-by-Stare Halloween Candy map. Arkansas is all about Jolly Ranchers according to this map. If I had my own state, it would most definitely be Sour Patch Kids , Swedish Fish, and SNICKERS.

Check out the map below and let me know what made #1 in your state (and if you don't agree with the map- what's your #1?)!

What an awesome day // #AnniWays

Happy Humpday!

What an awesome day :o)! I finished a couple of layouts at work, finished a wonderful little private project
(I will reveal what THAT was in a couple of days) and took of for a bike tour right after work.

It was a beautiful summer day over here today! So I changed into my workout clothes at the office and took off for a 15 miles bike tour. I didn´t use the GPS app this time. I just took off, kept going and going and somehow made it back home :oD! Lucky me! And I was REALLY lucky! I´ll tell you more about that after showing you a few pics I took on my tour.... Isn´t God´s creation beautiful?

Ok... why I was lucky? I found 5 Euro on my little bike tour! Wooohoooo! And what did I do with these 5 Euro? After I got home and brought my bike into the basement, I went straight to the grocery store and bought..... C-A-N-D-Y :oD!!!!
And cherries! And pasta and pesto... But the candy was actually the fun part. And amazing how much I got for just 5 Euro?! Dear sir or madam, whoever lost these 5 Euro at the Main-Donau-Channel: I´m sorry. But happy. ;oP

I think the combination of 2 hours on a bike in the sun/heat plus the candy make me kind of crazy now... :oD It feels great though!

Now I will lay down on my couch and watch "The Timetraveler´s Wife"!

Hope you guys had an amazing day as well?
