Emily runs her own blog and online store for designed greeting cards. “For this piece I took much of my inspiration straight from the old Disney classic animation to the Tim Burton feature film. I am so mesmerized by the absurdity and magical element that runs through Alice in Wonderland, and this was something that I wanted to appear within my artwork. I hope that this piece may give the viewer an insight into the strangely peculiar world of Wonderland!”

becoming an art director in an advertising agency. In addition he is actively creating art in the
German street-art scene under the pseudonym “Cami”. Paul lives and works in Hamburg, Germany.
“This is my very personal attempt to translate the craziness of the old Disney movie into the digital
realm and exaggerate it even further.”

ADVICE FROM A CATERPILLAR
by Simone Rohler

Simone Rohler lives and works in London as a digital designer for a live music-advertising agency.
Formerly she set up a project to create 65 unique band illustrations in different mediums and
distribute them to fans at the Governors Ball 2013. Her most recent works are mostly inspired by
songs and movies.
“I love both, Alice in Wonderland and Alice’s Pig. It was a no-brainer to contribute when I was
approached. I picked the caterpillar theme because it sparked the most inspiration. It sounded fun
and colourful and since I like butterflies this was as close as I could get to drawing one ...”

PIG AND PEPPER
by Anna Papaioannou

Born in Thessaloniki, Anna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and an MA in Art and Design and a BFA in Akto College of Art and Design. After having worked in art galleries and as a teacher in London, she recently moved back to Greece and is currently working on her first children’s book, which will soon be published by Key Books editions. Anna lives and works in Athens, Greece. “The inspiration for the artwork derived mainly from all the little stories I heard while working with schools children, where imagination has no limits. Remembering their reactions and what “they” would think when listening to Alice’s tale, helped me draw colorful elements in order to create an imaginative and happy work of art.”

THE CHESHIRE CAT
by Alejandra Bize’s Bio

Alejandra Bize is an illustrator based in Copenhagen, Denmark where she runs a label called Superskat. She’s attended both the School of Art “La Palma” in Madrid (Spain) and Central Saint Martins in London (UK). Alejandra is a published children book author (‘Postcard from Copenhagen’). A MAD TEAPARTY
by Hannah Messelink

Hannah graduated from University of Paderborn in Arts and Education in 2014 and works as a high
school art teacher. During her studies she took part in several world-heritage-themed art-exhibitions
(e. g. Paris, Essen, Corvey, Bamberg) and applied her very own style of illustration for advertising,
children’s books and other creative projects.
“As a child I loved the story of Alice in Wonderland for its fantastic and surreal creatures and of course, the Mad Teaparty always was my favourite scene. On the one hand it´s very funny because off all the nonsense the Hatter, the Dormouse and the March Hare are talking, but on the other it´s also unsettling because of their sudden animosities towards Alice. You cannot be sure about their true intentions and I tried to show this ambivalence in my interpretation of the scene.”
