New Job! Woooohoooo!

For a while now I was thinking about what I want to do with my life. While waiting for my working visa, during which time I was just not allowed to work, I have realized, that I am so much more creative and design loving, when I don't have to sit in an office 40+ hours a week.

Another thing I started to realize is, that I really want to work in the health and fitness industry. I plan on going back to college at one point to become a Registered Dietitian. So many people over here live such an unhealthy life(style). There is so much crap in the food over here, that is not even allowed in the EU anymore. It slowly poisons and fattens people to death. Sugar seems to be in everything! So called "fat free", "sugar free" or "Healthy" labeled products are just one big fat lie. Clean eating would be the best thing to do, but the most important thing is to educate people to make healthy choices when it comes to food. And that's what I want to do in the future.... But back to my new job now ;o)

We are living in a pretty small town now, and I thought I would just have to stick to my little job as a waitress, and doing my designs on the side.... until that one day, I was browsing Facebook. I saw a post of the BIG health and fitness center located here, saying they have some job openings. I was brave and sent out my resume....

...and now here we are, about 8 weeks later, and guess what? I GOT THE JOB!!! I officially started Tuesday. I've had my orientation, will have another one (a winter storm killed the internet over here, so I was only able to finish part 1 so far), and right now my new supervisor is putting together my schedule. I am so super excited!

I will start part time, which will still give me enough time for blogging and my little graphic design business, so it's just perfect!

Guys, I'm so happy!

Workout Questionnaire!

Precious over at "The Coily Bombshell" did this a couple of weeks ago and I thought I'd do it too!

1. Five Fitness Items I Can’t Live Without:
- Jillian Michaels DVDs
- bike
- My "Mizuno Wave Nexus 5" running shoes
- sports bras
- my leopard dumbbells

2. Favorite pre-workout snack/meal:
Banana. Or some Yoghurt.

3. On my fitness bucket list:
- DEFINITELY running the "Bolt to the Q" 5k run!!! Hello? I'm the biggest Chargers fan EVER!
- Running one of the big marathons. Like the one in Boston or NYC.
- Riding my bike across as many states as possible in the US
- Do "Urban Hiking" (= I think I invented that one) and doing sightseeing runs in cities all around the world!
Just like I recently did in Berlin (Brandenburg Gate was my halfway finish line :oD)

4. Must-have tech tools:
- My "Polar FT7" HRM. Love it!
- "SportsTracker" App (Add me as a friend, if you use it as well! "AnniSchenk")
- Wireless headphones. I need to buy some. Or are there any sponsors out there? ;o)

5. Top exercise gear:
- Definitely my running shoes. I did treadmill analysis and everything to find a pair that suits me and my
running style perfectly. So they might not look the way I would have designed them, but running in them
  is just wonderful!
- I am recently in love with "Hunkemoeller" workout clothes and sports bras!
- Reebok EasyTones. Shoes and shirts. Perfect for aerobic! I now own 3 pairs of shoes and 2 shirts :oD

6. Motivational mantra:
Jillian Michaels changed my life, so my mantras sure come from her :oD

7. Next big exercise goal:
- Beat my PR at the next 2 races
- Run 10k
- Finish "Ripped in 30", "Extreme Shed & Shred" & "Hard Body"
- Lose more weight

8. Favorite cardio exercise:
Ummmmm... Running! Biking! And HIIT on the elliptical!

9. Favorite strength move:
Squats

10. What would you say is your biggest fitness accomplishment thus far?
- Quit smoking
- Finishing the 30 Day Shred
- Running my first 5k in 32 mins

My new CUSTOMIZED sneakers

Howdy dear readers :)!

Sorry for the lack of posts during the last weeks - I was busy getting rid of a bad habit hehehe.

But now I´m back!!! Woooohoooo!

I don´t know if you know, but I´m kind of a Tomboy. I love football. I love working out. I love beer. I love watching soccer and can´t wait for the worldcup to start this weekend!

My jersey is clean and nice and white and ready to be worn! (Ummmm...maybe I´ll post some pics of me in "Go Germany!" Action... MAYBE.)

Well - since I´m working out even more during the last weeks and my good old Adidas broke, I was browsing the web trying to find new shoes for the gym and outside workout. I decided I want the Reebok EasyTones. The black and pink ones. BUT: SOLD OUT!! Even on the Reebok website they were sold out in my size!

But then I saw something really SPECTACULAR!!! You can design your own shoe!!! For exactly the same price as the shoe would regular cost!!! So, I SURE did that. Black, pink, grey, turquise, and a few yellow spots here and there ;o)! And the coolest thing ever is: There is gonna be my name written on them! Ha!

Can´t wait to get them! In about 5 weeks!
